To start with, the cuff is sturdy leather and faux leather in two layers and tones. The base cuff leather layer is a thick very dark brown tone with a distressed "crackled" finish. It has antique brass finished rivets and a similarly finished double ring buckle and post. The upper layer is a tan faux leather that has been accented with outlet a darker "smudging" of color to give it an aged appearance - don't worry it's not dirt, it's a dye. The upper band is embellished with antique brass finished metal end caps and brass cap nuts where it is attached to the leather cuff. The underside of the cuff has finish washers where the bolts come through to help with a more comfortable fit. Underneath the edge of the upper band and bolted down by the brass cap nuts are two antique brass clock gears. The gears have been given a slight curve to help accommodate the curve of the wearer's wrist. New, commercially-manufactured, the watch has a large face and it's metal housing has an antique brass color as well as false rivets around the face.
