This mandala is a inspired by the Hindu Aarti prayer for bringing light and removing darkness, which is a beautiful ritual that is practiced in the morning and evening in India. It involves symbols of the 5 elements and is a very powerful practice. I feel like my heart opens when I sing it, and I imagine a flock of swallows flying around in a circle, cleansing the space of negative energies, and bringing lightness and blessings.
