Presented is a great quality sterling silver serving spoon by Gorham. This piece is done in the ornate Domestic pattern, which began production in 1880. This is an elegant pattern with vine and leaf decorations on the handle. The bowl of the server has a fluted shell-like design. The back of the handle has a monogram of FJA in flowing script.
This piece is in good overall condition. There is a small split on either side of where the handle joins the bowl. There are no monogram removals, and no repairs.
This piece is stamped on the stem with the maker's mark for Gorham as well as sterling, and a patent date of 1880.
This piece is about outlet 9 inches long.
This piece weighs 49.6 grams or 1.8 regular ounces.
