Tahitian pearls come from French Polynesia and areas throughout the South Pacific.
They are formed in black-lipped oysters, their color range is quite wide producing only natural untreated colors ranging through various grays, to black, peacocks, and sometimes gold.

Tahitian pearls are in a class by themselves. Rings and a couple of shallow dimples are common and natural. They are not considered flaws. Ringed outlet Tahitian pearls - are called "Circlé ". Nothing glows quite like a Tahitian Pearl. Luster can range from almost mirror like to soft and silky.
