Founder in the forties of the Forma 1 outlet Group (group of Italian artists who created the "formalist manifesto", convinced that the terms Marxism and formalism are not irreconcilable; supporters of a structured but unrealistic art, which gives importance to form and sign in their essential basic meaning, eliminating in their works any symbolist or psychological claim.)
