Old Antique outlet Vtg Ca 1920s Harmon Percy Marbles Native American Indian Photo Trade

outlet This offering is for an antique very early 20th century photograph taken by Harmon Percy Marble of Native American Indians. This image features a view of the Cedar Ridge which I believe was a trading post. A note included with the photo identifies the image as being on the western edge of the Navajo reservation. Mr. Marble worked for the Indian Service from 1911 through 1926 when he retired. During that time he took hundreds of photo's of the Navajo, the Hopi, the Sioux and the Menominee. His images are highly desired for their first hand, often unposed qualities of a now vanished way of Native American life. The image measures 5" by 7" and the condition is excellent with no rips, tears or repairs.
