Log of the Presidents Visit to the U. S. Naval Base Newport, outlet R. I. 29 August - 23 September 1958 - pamphlet mockup, Grant Powers

This is another pamphlet mockup that military artist Grant Powers did for the US. This one is probably intended to be the cover for a log of President Eisenhower's 1958 visit to Newport, RI. Eisenhower summered at Newport in 1957, 58 and 60.

This is super nice. The piece is mounted on a thick 18 x 14 1/2 cardboard. On that is mounted a charcoal on paper drawing of what I think is the presidential yacht off the Newport, RI naval base. The drawing is about 17 x 13, (the edges are obscured by tape,) which is taped to the board. The drawing is really nice. Over the top of all that is a (possibly) mylar sheet on which is stenciled the lettering. The mylar has protected the drawing; its in really nice shape.

This is n excellent chance to own a one of a kind piece of presidential history by Grant Powers. outlet
