An antique French marble plaque which served as a First Communion souvenir. The square plaque is carved with the letters 'Souvenir De Premiere Communion'. Above the carved lettering is a brass plate which reads 'A Mon Parrain' (To My Godfather) and at the top is a pewter chalice with the lettering 'IHS' above.
Dimensions: 17.75cm x 17.75cm x 0.75cm (7" x 7" x ¼").
Weight: 809g (1lb 12oz).
An unusual piece in lovely vintage condition. Some staining and wear to the surface of the marble and some wear outlet to the paint in the carved lettering.
