Tales of Mystery outlet & Imagination by Edgar Allan Poe / 1940s Collins, London / In Excellent Condition / Dark Green Faux Leather / Slipcase Box

In absolutely excellent condition here is a copy of Edgar Allan Poe's Tales of Mystery and Imagination published by Collins outlet Clear-Type Press of London. The book is undated but research shows it would have been produced in the 1940s as part of Collins' Library of Classics series. In the original slipcase box. Slightly larger than pocket-sized (see dimensions below).

With dark green limp faux-leather covers and attractive silver decoration on the spine. This is all superb with no sign of any wear and the decoration being sparkly bright.

The contents are also excellent. The pages are clean, bright and tightly bound with no writing, marks or signs of previous ownership. Has an illustrated frontispiece, else unillustrated. The edges are tinted dark green and this copy has the appearance of having never been read.

In the original dark green slipcase box which has a little rubbing to the edges and corners but is otherwise very smart and should continue to protect the book for many more years to come.
