Small Vintage Seminole Doll

This is a cute Seminole doll from Florida with a very basic design, the body is a simple cylinder without any arms. The maker used natural palm to make the handsewn body ending in the head, with the palm becoming the skin tone. The facial features were embroidered right outlet into the palm fibers. The hair was made of yarn and she has beaded glass necklaces. Note the back of head does not have wool: is painted black. Her dress was machine sewn with two layers of ruffles adorned with multi color ric rac. The base of the doll is handsewn. Unsigned. This measures approx 5" H x 4" W x 3" D. Clean and ready to display!
