Such an incredible piece! Super rare early 1940s outlet gardening hat
-Painted bamboo construction with sculpted shape
-Firm tall crown has classic early 1940s silhouette with narrow top
-Red nylon band around crown and the brim is also trimmed
-Stenciled images of roses and little bird on top of brim
-No lining
-Cotton cord strings attached
No label
Condition: VERY GOOD
-General wear very sturdy, minor paint loss
15 inches across
16 inches front to back
6 1/2 inches crown height
Will fit size 21 1/2 best but with the cord ties will accomodate
up to size 22
What a fabulous hat! Very sturdy and ready to be worn. I'm not one with a green thumb or I would've kept this piece. I've only seen one other similar garden hat in the 8 years I've been collecting, and this one has superior graphics. This is a wide brim hat and costs more to ship. Thanks for understanding.
