*Please note that the existing leaf is going to yellow and die off as this was a mid-cut. New growth is on the way as seen in picture 3 and a new leaf should be appearing soon. This is a healthy and actively growing plant with established roots.
This is a very rare velvet Monstera species seldom seen in collections. It is endemic to French Guinea. Compared to more popular species of Monstera, not as much is know about this one. In its juvenile form, it has shingling tendencies. With maturity, it develops wonderfully fenestrated leaves as depicted in picture 1, A must have for collectors of Monsteras.
